Reminder

A DNR vehicle permit is required to park on State Land.  Effective 10/1/2010 a new Recreation Passport will be available for entry to all State Parks for $11 when you renew your vehicle license plate.

2019 Events

Yearly Member Meeting

January 20 - 2pm

Zukey Lake Tavern - 5011 Girard Dr, Pinckney

PTRA will provide dessert and coffee.

Come early, about 1pm, to grab some lunch and catch up with or meet other PTRA members.

Zukey has their brunch buffet on Sundays!!

Board member seats are up for vote, if you would like to run, please let us by 1-10-19.

We will review 2018 and discuss the future plans for 2019.
We'll discuss our event schedule for the upcoming season, the Blessing of the Horses will be June 1st.

Our camping weekend is scheduled for August 23-25, join us for a Ride to Hell.

SPRING WORK BEE

Please join us for our Spring workbee to get the trails in great shape for riding!!

We will meet at the Monks Rd Staging area and have snacks and drinks ready for you to grab before we break into groups and head out to the trails.

Plan to stay for lunch afterwards.

Don't forget your boots, gloves and loppers.

We make this fun, efficient and there is nothing better than knowing you helped keep your trails rideable!!

Ride to Hell and Back

October 11-13

Join us for camping for the weekend or just ride with us for the day. We have 15 sites available for camping in the field behind the staging area.

Get your camping reservations in early (no refunds, rain or shine).  Email pinckneytrailrider@yahoo.com to reserve a site.  Pay for the site online HERE or mail your check to Pinckney Trail Riders Association, 11185 Country Ln, Pinckney, MI 48169

Members $40

$5 per extra guest

Non-members $50

Prices are for both nights of camping, single night camping pricing is not available.  

Hitching poles are available, as well as, a vault toilet and hand pump in staging area. Central fire pit for visiting, roasting marshmallows, kibitzing and enjoying music and laughs in the evenings!  

Join us for a Ride to Hell and Back on Saturday, October 12th! Hell has food, so bring your money for a beer and burger at the Hell Hole Diner or Hell Saloon. And save room for Ice Cream at Screams. Mmmmm. Be in the saddle by 11am and join PTRA on a guided ride or you can ride on your own.

Do you have stuff lying around the house that you'd like to donate towards trail maintenance? Bring your like new or great used condition items with you (does not have to be horse related) and also your CASH and after the ride we'll have a fun auction starting about 3pm.

Join us for a potluck after the auction, bring a dish to pass and dinner will start around 5:30 pm with PTRA providing the meat and water. If you are not camping with us, you can still join us for potluck for a donation of $5.

Runners Training Days

Organized training events for upcoming races in September, probably about 40 runners on the trails from 7am-2pm and should be spread out

You can join PTRA for the first time, renew your membership and get more information on the Pinckney Recreation Area Equestrian Trails.  The expo is always a great time!

It's time to start Thinking Spring and that means our flower fundraiser forms are here and ready for your flower orders.

This is a huge fundraiser for our group which allows us to keep the trail and staging area improvements coming. The flowers are high quality and from a nursery in Michigan!

Join us on March 30, 2019 for the “Spring Fling” Banquet brought to you by Brighton and Pinckney Trail Riders. Cost is $20 per member, $30 for non-members, and includes a raffle ticket. Cash bar is available! Come enjoy this awesome venue for socializing, eating, dancing, 50/50 drawing, raffle and silent auction. The room is large, bar serves many, and our dinner will be served buffet style. We will have live music with the very talented Travis Root.
